Bio:

Tori is a Heart Zones Certified Cycling and Triathlon Coach and will again be leading the Milwaukee South & East team. As Head Coach for the 2008 Danskin Women's Training Program and 2009 Trek Women's Triathlon Training Program, she understands what it takes to complete your first or your 20th event.

Tori finished her first triathlon in 2006 at the age of 40 and it empowered her to continue to change her fitness level and have a healthier lifestyle. Since that time, she has lost over 90 lbs and competed in over three dozen events.

Having jobs, a husband and six kids, she knows how women wear multiple "hats" and often juggle many responsibilities. She believes in training SMARTER, not longer, to help fit into busy lifestyles. This year she plans on doing her first 70.3 Half Ironman.

For several years I trained by myself for Sprint Triathlons and had plateaued in terms of my results. I was skeptical of the improvements Tori claimed her athletes achieved from heart rate training but decided to give [it] a try anyway. Training under Tori’s leadership and guidance helped me to be prepared for all aspects of the race from nutrition to transitions. The focus on heart rate training clearly helped me to improve my performance by more than 15 minutes. I was impressed by the focus on our safety and well being during training and preparations for participation in the upcoming events. The benefits of the training group went well beyond the physical training aspects. Tori is very knowledgeable and willing shares her personal experiences in teaching and as motivation for her team. The personal attention from Tori combined with the camaraderie, celebration of both large and small successes, and encouragement within the group made training fun!
